I have found the following five desires, deep within our core, are shared by everyone:

  1. We want to be loved – accepted with all our perfect imperfections
  2. We want to be heard – know that someone wants and cares enough to listen
  3. We want  peace – within ourselves and with others
  4. We want to be appreciated – recognized
  5. We want to live in balance – giving and open to receiving
