The good book says it rains on the just and unjust. With that being said, what matters then is not the rain, but what we do in the rain as it falls.
We are told, the greatest weapon against ourselves is between our ears. They are our thoughts of fear and doubt that come naturally when unexpected events occur. Succumb to them and our lives will be filled with steady rain showers of dissatisfaction, hopelessness and longing. Unwanted events like rain happen, they are part of life. The question is will we remember our umbrella of faith, open it and choose to stand under it?
We are at choice. We can walk in the rain feeling victimized or we can stand under our umbrella of faith feeling victorious. How will you choose?
