In the movie, Alice in Wonderland, Alice asks the Cheshire Cat which way she ought to go. The cat replies, “That depends a great deal on where you want to go.” Alice responds, “Oh, I don’t much care.” With that, the cat replies, “Then it really doesn’t matter which way you go.”
Living with a purpose is seeing the light as we walk through a dark tunnel. Not having a purpose, a destination, can be likened to a boat floating on water allowing this wave, that wind to direct its course or climbing a ladder, struggling to reach the top, only to find out you were leaning on the wrong wall. Many couples living without a purpose, wake up one morning and find a stranger sleeping in their bed and eating at their table. We were meant to live on purpose, with a goal and a destination.
When we decide to turn off the auto pilot button in our heads and live mindful, life becomes sweater, brighter, joyful and more. Life offers many paths leading somewhere. Be in charge of that somewhere. Know your outcome, and when you do, you will discover life is for you. Happy travels.
